Last spring, an abnormal heat wave took hold over many regions of the Pacific Northwest. Here in Washington, residents saw temperatures breaking records and heat advisories placed across the state.<\/p>\n
On May 13, 2023, the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory extending from Saturday through Monday for much of the western parts of both Oregon and Washington state. It said the temperatures could raise the risk of heat-related illness, particularly for those who were dehydrated or didn’t have access to effective cooling.<\/p>\n
