William Edward Landers

William E (Bill) Landers was born on September 22, 1924 in Seattle, Washington. He married Mona Jahnke of Wisconsin in July of 1949. He passed away on May10, 2009 just 2 months prior to their 60th wedding anniversary.Bill worked in the Seattle Fire Department for 40 years, retiring as a Deputy Chief. He served in the Pacific during WWII. Bill was an excellent handyman and loved his family, woodworking, and trains. He is survived by his loving wife Mona, son Marty and his wife Sandy of Kent, son Jon of Bellingham, granddaughters Crystal Burman (Philip), and Nicole Jacobs (Jon) both of Renton, and great-grandson Luke Burman, age 8 months. He is also survived by his extended family in Wisconsin, Marshall and Arnita Jahnke, and Harris Larson as well as many nieces and nephews.At his request, there will be no services.
