Carolyn J Hough (Parks) passed away at Valley Medical Center after a brief illness on August 18, 2023. She was 82 years old.

Carolyn was born and spent the first few years of her life in the Central Valley of California before moving to Grants Pass, OR. After graduating from high school she lived in Salem OR for much of her young adult life before moving to Seattle.

Carolyn settled in Renton in 1974 and spent almost fifty years in the Highlands area.

She was a devout Christian and belonged to several local church communities over the years, including Highlands Community Church. Carolyn loved to play piano and had a sharp memory and remembered everyone’s birthdays and could recall details of people’s lives even at the age of 82!

Carolyn is survived by her husband Wayne, her sister Flo Edmondson of Salem OR, her son Jeffrey Parks (Albina) of Ketchum ID, and three grandchildren.

Her family will hold a memorial for friends and family on Saturday October 21 at 3pm, at King of Kings Lutheran Church, 18207 108th Ave SE, Renton, WA 98055.
