Sixty-plus employers seek employees at career fair

The event was held June 5 at Renton Technical College.

Renton Technical College hosted its ninth annual career fair June 5 and welcomed 60-plus employers seeking to employ.

The myriad employers at the event included the Washington State Attorney General’s Office, Seattle Fire Department, United States Postal Service, Car Pros Automotive, Peace Health, City of Renton, and many more. The college hosted the event in partnership with the City of Renton, Renton Chamber of Commerce, Puget Sound Training Center, and Handshake.

According to the Renton Chamber of Commerce, the event offered free on-the-spot resume reviews provided by the Employment Security Department, free professional headshots to boost professional image, and a raffle contest. There was also a Soul Fusion Food Truck on site.

According to the Renton Chamber of Commerce, this event welcomed students, alumni and community members. The event featured employers from a variety of industries, including businesses, childcare, construction, healthcare, manufacturing, and transportation. Attending employers were looking to recruit and interview, and some were even hiring immediately.
