Northwest Film Forum’s Collective Power Fund is offering an Artist Development Grant to six, visual-based artists in King County who self-identify as early to emerging.

Applicants can apply at collectivepowernw.org by Noon on May 3.

Artists who identify as BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, Person of Color), disabled, femme, gender non-conforming, LGBTQ+, undocumented, and/or live in unincorporated King County are strongly encouraged to apply.

Eligible, visual-based disciplines include: 3D, animation, architecture, ceramics, comics, craft, dance, design, digital art, drawing, folk art, film, illustration, installation, murals, naive art, new media, outsider art, painting, performance, photography, printmaking, public art, sculpture, sound art, social practice, street art, traditional art, video, and VR/AR/XR. Dance, performance, sound art, and social practice must be presented in a visual art context.

Benefits to the nominees include: $750 unrestricted cash award, a group exhibition at King Street Station with the other grant recipients, photos of work documentation at King Street Station, professional headshots, a short promotional reel and interview featuring the artist and their work, a 30-minute 1-on-1 mentorship conversation with a juror, stipends to assist artists with King Street Station travel costs, and consultation on and facilitation of mounting artwork within King Street Station.
