Memorial Day was celebrated in Renton on Monday, May 27, where military veterans were honored at the city’s Veteran Memorial Park. A large crowd gathered in the sunny weather, joining members of the Frank R. Vaise VFW Post #1263 and the Fred Hancock American Legion Post #19. Veterans and their families, Mayor Armondo Pavone, members of the Renton City Council and Hazen High School senior Hannah Mattson, who sang the national anthem, were also in attendance.
